Recent research has shown that The League was formed in 1904.  The League's handbooks had previously shown 1902-03.    

The Centenary was celebrated with a Dinner at Cardiff Castle on 28 July 2004 in the presence of The League's Patron, The Prince Philip, Duke of Edinburgh.

A partial history is included in the History section of this website, albeit in statistical format.  A project to document the history of The League has commenced and will be available when published.
