ENTO Aberaman Athletic Football Club ENTO Aberaman Athletic Football Club (for further information on the club please visit www.entoaberamanafc.co.uk) of the MacWhirter Welsh League are looking to recruit a full time Operations Executive to provide the management committee with a range of support services on a day to day basis. The Job Description for the role follows along with a Person Specification. The successful candidate will be employed by PDUK Ltd, parent company of main sponsor ENTO and be located at the club’s ground at Aberaman Park and will report on a daily basis to David Morgan, Vice Chairman but be accountable to the management committee. The annual salary will be 16k for a 35 hour week with an additional one hour for lunch on days to be agreed and attract a unlimited commission scheme of 15% of all income generated excluding that from existing sources. A car owner, self motivated and driven by the desire to achieve and produce results the successful candidate will have an interest in football, be capable of promoting the club to the community and beyond and be responsible for providing the secretariat of the club. In addition the successful candidate will take lead responsibility for the identification and generation of commercial income to provide the club with a sound financial base from which to build for the future. Job Title Operations Executive Reporting to David Morgan Accountable to Management Committee
Job Description Secretarial Duties Confirm and arrange fixtures in liaison with the club team managers and in line with Welsh League requirements Confirm fixtures with match officials in line with Welsh League requirements Provide opposition with details of playing squad, management staff, club history and player profiles for match programmes Despatch match passes to away clubs for players and committee members in a timely manner Attend management committee meetings, take minutes and despatch minutes to members Arrange transport for away fixtures Attend Welsh League and other related meetings as required by the management committee Provide administrative and secretarial support to the officers, members and management staff of the club as required Co-ordinate the content for the match day programme and liaise directly with the design team and printers to ensure match programmes are to specification and to time Maintain the club website ensuring that the site is up to date, relevant and provides timely information to site visitors
Commercial Duties Promote the club to the local and regional business community Promote the club to local schools, community groups and other sports and social clubs Identify opportunities to seek commercial partnerships with the business community Generate income through the sale of programme advertising, match ball sponsorship, match and player sponsorship, ground advertising and other commercial income generation opportunities Ensure that all sponsors and other guests are provided with all relevant information for match days including complimentary tickets Entertain and host sponsors and guests on match days Identify opportunities for funding to further develop the ground Develop proposals for funding for the approval of the management committee Develop links with the local, regional and national press and to work to promote the club through these mediums in the form of Press Releases
General Duties Co-ordinate and liaise with suppliers and contractors Ensure that all areas of the club including lounge supplies, player requirements and medical supplies are appropriately stocked and replenished as necessary Ensure that all areas of the ground including changing rooms, grandstand, lounge, walkways and other areas are maintained and presented in a clean and tidy manner Undertake basic and general maintenance of the ground Provide a daily presence at the ground and to take actions as necessary to ensure the smooth running of the football club Provide support to the management committee on match days Other tasks and activities required of your line manager and/or management committee in line with your remuneration package
Person Specification Essential Interest in Association Football Good written and verbal communication skills Excellent administrative and organisational skills Experience in identifying and attracting sponsorship Experience in developing links and relationships with a range of organisations Knowledge of funding opportunities for ground and club development Experience in updating and maintaining websites Experience in promotion and marketing channels Knowledge of the local area Ability to work to deadlines and to agreed standards Car Owner with full driving licence Ability to undertake basic maintenance tasks Professional in appearance
Desirable Playing career at semi professional level or higher
